Lottery Slider (3)

Lottery for Arts is a fundraising event designed for art enthusiasts to acquire original works of fine art by professional and emerging artists, all support goes directly to the funding of education and outreach programs at Blue Line Arts.

Participate early and browse online to have a shot at securing your favorite high-value artworks and unique prizes. Want to get the first pick of the Lottery Artworks?

The first 5 chances to choose will be auctioned off to the highest bidder at the start of the event. After we introduce our board members and “stock the bar”, Lottery begins!  Names will be drawn from a spinner--when your name is drawn, you can pick out your favorite work of art from the Juried Lottery Exhibition.

Ready to select your Top Ten Favorite Picks? Visit us during Preview Night or during gallery hours to see what's available.

How it Works

Lottery Process

Step 1: Before the event, secure your sponsorship or purchase Lottery Tickets through our staff members or website.  The name you enter on your Lottery Ticket is the name of the guest who will be called during the Lottery to make their selection at the live event.

If you have purchased multiple tickets or a sponsorship, make sure your tickets have your guests’ names registered to the ticket. Please contact the gallery to make any changes to your tickets.
*Each Lottery Ticket is valid for one work of art from the Lottery Section only.
*Lottery tickets may not be exchanged.
*Must be present to win Lottery artwork.  If you do not set up a proxy in advance with the gallery, and are not present to win, your ticket will be void.

Step 2: Review the artworks available in the Lottery Gallery online or in person. We recommend you pick out your top 10 choices ahead of time! You can view the works in person during gallery hours

Step 3: Check in when you arrive at the event to confirm your ticket details. Your ticket(s) will be placed in the lottery spinner before the event begins.

Step 4: When your name is called during the event, stand up and claim your artwork by telling the auctioneer the artwork number.
*Make sure to watch the display board to see what works are still available
*After your name is called, you have roughly 15 seconds to make a selection. If you are not present to make a selection, your ticket will go back in the spinner. When your name is called again, you have another opportunity to claim a number.

Step 5: Collect your new work of art at will-call during the event, or normal gallery hours: Tuesday-Saturday 11-5.

Where does the money go?

All proceeds benefit local art education programs at Blue Line Arts, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. In 2023, we raised $95,000 to make sure we can continue to offer programs at the lowest cost possible, or for free through scholarship.  We offer over 30 youth programs each year, including summer camps, after school programs, and art exposure programs for school groups.

As arts are lacking important funding in public schools, these programs provide accessible arts learning opportunities to students of all ages, which are correlated with higher levels of academic achievement, and help to build creativity and confidence in the next generation. Donations made at the event and percentages of sponsorship options are tax-deductible.
