Astrologia

Prospectus

It’s the practice of “what’s your sign?” fame from the 1970’s, and today, Astrology is back and bigger than ever. Making connections between celestial bodies, human events and intention, Astrology has long been a catalyst for artists to create profound bodies of work.

Astrologia pays homage to the rich history of influence that astrological traditions have had for centuries on creative works and popular culture, and brings together artists’ new visual interpretations of the zodiac, astrological signs, motifs, and symbols, exploring intersections of astrology, identity and mythology through contemporary art.

Works may depict long-standing traditional belief systems or cultural relevance, contemporary viewpoints, or newly imagined, visual interpretations of one’s own personal connection to the cosmos.
