Abstract Studio

Create your own paintings in Abstract Expressionism!

Youth & Family Programs

Mon, July 26 / 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Explore the movement and the genre of abstract expressionism!  Participants will learn about techniques used by Jackson Pollock and Helen Frankenthaler before experimenting with their own mark-making and emotion as they create art that is inspired by their own feelings and interpretations.  This session will explore color choices and a variety of application techniques using acrylic paint, watercolor, clay and prints!

Space is limited to 10 participants.  All materials and instruction are included in session price.  There will be a 15 minute break outdoors and a light snack will be provided each day.  Learn about safety guidelines for our art programs here.
