Drop-in to the Artist 2 Artist Meetup to share, learn, and network! Each month we discuss different professional development topics for artists such as marketing, grants, teaching, local opportunities, and more! Come share who you are and what you do, make new artist friends, air your artistic grievances, listen & learn from each others experiences, share and learn about upcoming opportunities, events and more. Blue Line Arts is a space for you to grow in the art community.

Schedule of Upcoming Discussion Topics:
- Saturday March 12th: Open Studios Events
- featuring Gia McNutt from the Placer Artists Studios Tour
- Saturday April 9th: Open Art Critique
- bring a work of art (that is at least 75% done) to receive feedback from the group
- Saturday May 14th: Public Speaking
- Practice in front of our group, in an informal setting. Bring your notes or a brief statement you would like to share about your work. This is an opportunity for you to practice and gain confidence before giving an artist lecture
- Saturday June 11th: Public Art Projects
- We will discuss local opportunities, how to apply for projects and best practices
- Saturday July 9th: Artist Statements
- Bring in your artist statement, the group will provide tips and tricks and provide constructive feedback on each other’s statement
- Saturday August 13th: Grants
- featuring the Arts Council of Placer County‘s Board President and head of the Grants Commission, Barbara Burge
- We will discuss local opportunities for grants, partnerships, eligibility, etc
- Saturday September 10th: Social Media Marketing
- We will discuss best practices to sell your work via social media, pros and cons of different platforms and how to grow your audience
- Saturday October 8th: Merchandise
- We will discuss different options for ordering prints, cards and catalogs and pricing. You are welcome to bring in examples of your merchandise.
- Saturday November 12th: NFTs
- What are they? What do they do? Are they here to stay? Bring your questions about NFTs and Crypto currency
- Saturday December 10th: Open Art Critique
- bring a work of art (that is at least 75% done) to receive feedback from the group
