Learn to make your own paints with the yolk of an egg!
Fri, October 11 / 5:30 pm - Sun, October 13 / 4:00 pm
This three-part workshop is an introduction/history to the unique and classical painting method, Egg Tempera. Each student will learn how to put together their own wood panel, “cook” their own traditional gesso using marble dust and rabbitskin glue as well as how to measure out ground pigment to make their own paint with the yolk of an egg! Students will gain hands on experience and learn the traditional methods of the past to create contemporary art. A still life will be staged for students to start and finish a painting using various painting techniques.
All supplies included.
