Empowering Identity

Let your unique personality shine through creative projects!

Youth & Family Programs

Mon, July 26 / 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Explore how an artist’s identity, culture, memories and background can influence the artwork they make.  This session will go over famous historical and modern artists such as Frida Kahlo, Kehinde Wiley and Cindy Sherman to see how they have successfully incorporated identity into their work.  Each day will feature a new art project and art medium from clay and prints to acrylic and watercolor!  Art projects include: an Identity Letter, Micrography Self-Portrait, All About Me Exhibit and Identity Stone.

Space is limited to 10 participants.  All materials and instruction are included in session price.  There will be a 15 minute break outdoors and a light snack will be provided each day.  Learn about safety guidelines for our art programs here.
