Clay, Papier mache, sculpy and more!
Youth & Family Programs
Thu, October 8 / 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Exploring Sculpture will cover the main principles of art and design: Balance, Rhythm, Movement, Pattern, Emphasis, Contrast, and Unity. Students will learn how to imagine, plan, and create by sketching designs, sharing ideas, and exploring a variety of materials to create sculptures! We will look at famous artists such as Basquiat and Andy Warhol for inspiration in clay, mixed media and paper mache projects! Each student will learn a new art language so that they can reflect, critique, and connect on their works in progress. By the end of the program students will be able to implement the principles of design into their artwork and effectively analyze their art using descriptive and expressive words.
