Figure Drawing with a Live Model!
Thu, November 21 / 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
“It is only by drawing often, drawing everything, drawing incessantly, that one fine day you discover, to your surprise, that you have rendered something in its true character.” -Camille Pissaro
Drawing from life is a great way to continue to develop your artistic skills. Just like with any other profession, regular practice helps maintain a high level of excellence. Keep your artistic eye in good form during this two hour figure drawing session with a live model. Embark on a drawing journey while exploring different art materials and honing your skills. Use this time to observe and interpret the shape of the human body: every form of curve, line and subtle undulation. Even if your work does not typically incorporate the human form, drawing from life can inspire and translate into creating new work.
“Learning to draw is really a matter of learning to see – to see correctly – and that means a good deal more than merely looking with the eye.” – Kimon Nicolaides
