Learn the art of mosaics and create a mural as a group!
Sat, January 12, 2019 / 10:00 am - Sun, January 13, 2019 / 3:00 pm
Mosaics have a rich history, starting as intricate floor and wall decorations in ancient Greece and Rome. Join us in reviving these age-old techniques while creating a lasting, public mosaic mural as a group! This 2 day workshop is 2 of 3 in the series and will be lead by local mosaic artist, Jennifer McGuire, who will expertly guide you through the steps of this cathartic art medium. Piece by piece, the mural design will feature a free-flowing abstract, highlighting a beautiful harmony of analogous colors. The mural will ultimately be installed as a public art piece.
All materials, tools and instruction will be provided.
Workshop Dates: Saturday, January 12th and Sunday January 13th from 10AM to 3PM
Break for lunch from 12-1pm
Teaching Artist: Jennifer McGuire
Space is limited. Women Veterans are welcome to sign up for each workshop in the 3 part series.
