Demetra Theofanous is a Greek American artist, living in the San Francisco Bay Area.
She works collaboratively with her partner Dean Bensen, combining flameworked glass, pate de verre, and blown glass in creating their sculptures. Thematically, their pieces utilize natural forms to articulate the "fragility of the human spirit," and have received accolades locally & internationally.
The Nature of Imperfection was created during their Artists' Residency at the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art. The estimated retail value of this piece is $3,000.

M. Mark Bauer has been working as a full-time artist since 2008, and has been featured in numerous exhibitions, including multiple stints in the Crocker Kingsley showings at both Blue Line and the Crocker Art Museum, as well as Wild Dreams of a New Beginning earlier this year at Blue Line.
Bauer describes his distinctive style as a "voyage through a human-dominated world with perplexing and unpredictable realities," and a personal means to "cope with humankind’s folly of self-destruction."
Commander and Fowl has been selected by the juror as the Second Place winner of this show. The estimated retail value of this piece is $3000.

Gail Caulfield is an artist and board-certified art therapist in San Francisco, California. She describes her process as an "interweaving of talk therapy and creative processes, utilizing Art Therapy, Guided Visualization, Mindfulness Training and EMDR," which she uses to assist clients in bringing their lives into balance.
This piece can be seen as an illustration of her mission to help others "learn new strategies to meet the challenges and transitions in life with more coherence and resilience."
