The second week in April 2019 will go down as a banner one for me. The fact that I got to interview & shoot Jimmie Vaughan only 4 days prior to legendary blues-man Buddy Guy is mind-blowing. Buddy hit the stage of the incredibly historic Crest Theater here in Sacramento, CA around 9pm the Sunday April 14th. I was given full access to the front stage for the first three songs. I felt these 3 shots captured the intensity and love Buddy Guy still has for playing the blues, even after recording and touring over 6 decades! He’s the youngest 82 year old I’ve ever seen and still plays and sings perfectly…like a legend does.
