Description
Visual art depictions of musical performance and performers is perhaps my favorite subject matter to draw or paint. Ultimately my goal is to depict the character and personality of a performer and their music or the power and intensity of their performance while also exhibiting a personal style of my own. Some works are executed completely realistically through various pen and ink, ink wash and painting techniques and others convey a more “caricatured” style that intends to capture a performer’s unique personality and visual style.
