My art work has always been grounded in a love for natural history, ecology, and the environment. My practice emphasizes both the process of making as well as the final product. In my time as an undergraduate student, I studied anthropology, geology, and geography alongside fine art. I also took courses in education, philosophy, and literature. These courses inform my visual art practice by broadening my understanding of science, culture, and diversity. They also enriched my examination of natural science and visual art, and how they can intersect. My aim is finding the connection between art, nature, and humanity, and how they can influence one other.
