Join ceramic artist Jennifer Rugge for an engaging live demonstration exploring the creative process behind her ceramic practice. Jennifer will share her approach to working with clay, demonstrating techniques and offering insight into how an idea develops from concept to finished ceramic work.

Jennifer Rugge is a Wildlife Lyrical earth artist, creating work from organic materials including hand-ground mineral pigments and clay slips. Her process begins with collecting ochres and minerals, which are refined into paints using traditional, earth friendly methods that are high in light-fastness and archival quality.
Influenced by ancient practices—from ancient and global cave paintings to European masters—Jennifer’s Art incorporates pictographic symbols drawn from early and extinct languages. These signs speak to a universal element to communicate, inspire and connect. Through these processes, Jennifer seeks a deeper relationship between the art and the land. Each piece reflects a dialogue with the earth, its wildlife and nature—honoring both its history and its presence—while embracing environmentally conscious methods in her studio.
