Art at Work

Off-Site Exhibitions for Local Businesses

Blue Line Arts has designed the Art at Work program to seamlessly bridge businesses and artists together by curating and installing new exhibitions each quarter in public locations. Our small business and corporate partners are welcomed into the fabric of the vibrant local arts and culture scene in Placer County.

Our Artists

Connecting the artistic community we foster, this dynamic program operates on a quarterly rotation, allowing local artists to present their creations regularly throughout the year. BLA Artist Members earn a 75% commission on any works sold during an exhibition in addition to social media promotion and a virtual gallery on our website as well.

How does it work?

Every 3 months, each community partner location consults with a BLA team member. Then an exhibition is curated featuring a local artist that is customized to their space. Blue Line Arts handles all the contracts, installation, and communication!

Program Benefits

Look around. How much thought was given to what’s hanging on your office walls? Often wall decor in corporate spaces feels like an afterthought. Maybe some mass-produced prints are hung willy-nilly, or perhaps the walls are still pretty bare. Does it matter that much after all?

A company's office says a lot about its culture, and having good wall art throughout the workspace can be a visual representation of its values, character, and culture. It offers non-verbal cues about the company to clients and employees and can also be a marker of inclusivity and community.

A survey and study performed by Exeter University’s School of Psychology on workplaces with integrated artwork collections showed overwhelming support for the positive impacts of art and its effects on emotional and cognitive well-being. Consisting of over 800 employees across 32 organizations, this survey showed that 78% agreed that artwork helps reduce stress, 64% agreed that artwork helps increase creativity and innovation, and 77% agreed that artwork helps encourage the expression of opinions.
