Thursday, May 13th
General Admission: Free
Lottery Ticket Early Bird Pricing: $200
Lottery for Arts is a fundraising event that provides collectors with an opportunity to acquire original works of fine art by professional and emerging artists, all while raising money for education programs at Blue Line Arts.
This year, we're going virtual.
Bid early and online, on high-value artworks and unique prizes in the live and silent auction sections. Register & tune in to the live Zoom event on May 13th to get real-time updates on the live auction items, and to participate in the Lottery.
Want to get the first pick of the Lottery Artworks? The first 6 chances to choose will be auctioned off to the highest bidder at the start of the event.
After the live auction, Lottery begins! Names will be drawn from a digital 'spinner'. When your name is drawn, you can use the chat feature to pick out your favorite work of art from the Lottery Artworks.
Ready to select your Top Ten Favorite Picks? You can view the artwork online or in person at the gallery starting May 7th to 13th.
How it Works
Step 1: Before the event, purchase one or more Lottery Ticket on our website. The name you enter on your Lottery Ticket is the name of the guest who will be called during Lottery to make their selection. You will receive a link to the virtual Zoom event after registration.
If you have purchased multiple tickets or a sponsorship, make sure your tickets have your guests’ names registered to the ticket. Please contact the gallery to make any changes to your tickets.
*Each Lottery Ticket is valid for one work of art.
*Lottery tickets may not be exchanged for any Live Auction or Silent Auction Items.
Step 2: Review the artworks available in Lottery at bluelinearts.org. We recommend you pick out your top 10 choices ahead of time. You can view the works in person during gallery hours, from May 7-12.th.
Step 3: We use a random number generator to randomly select the order of Lottery Tickets – simulating our traditional lottery spinner. The order of names drawn will be displayed at the start of and throughout the virtual event.
Step 4: When your name is called during the event, use the chat feature to type the number corresponding to the Lottery artwork you would like to choose. That number will then be taken off of our live display board showing available artworks.
*Make sure to watch the display board to see what works are still available
*After your name is called, we will start a 15 second timer. If we do not get a response from you by the time the timer runs out, your name will be bumped to the end of the list. When your name is called again, you have another opportunity to claim a number.
Step 5: Collect your new work of art at the gallery on Friday or Saturday! Pickup: 11-5 Friday, May 14th- Saturday, May 15th
Where does the money go?
All proceeds benefit local art education programs at Blue Line Arts, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. It is our goal to raise $30,000 to make sure we can continue to offer programs at the lowest cost possible, or for free through scholarship. We offer over 30 youth programs each year, including summer camps, after school programs, and art exposure programs for school groups. As arts are lacking important funding in public schools, these programs provide accessible arts learning opportunities to students of all ages, which are correlated with higher levels of academic achievement, and help to build creativity and confidence in the next generation. Donations made at the event and percentages of sponsorship options are tax-deductible.
