Maori Garden (New Zealand Life) Blockprint – Darlene Engellenner

For more than 20 years, artist and dedicated supporter Darlene Engellenner has been an important part of the Blue Line Arts community. Working in encaustic, mixed media, and printmaking, Darlene helped shape the new Blue Line Gallery, joining Art Director Beth Rohlfes and fellow artists and patrons in 2006 to bring the ambitious project to life. The artwork featured here was previously selected as Best of Show by renowned California artist Gregory Kondos. Darlene remembers the gallery’s creation as a true community effort and remains grateful for a place that “helps artists display their art and gives exposure to the public,” while opening the door to arts education and discovery for all.
