Michael Jean Cooper has been a memorable presence at Blue Line Arts, with work featured in numerous exhibitions, including By Hand—An International Fine Craft Competition and the 2019 Crocker Kingsley, where his work was selected by the Crocker Art Museum. His inventive sculptures have become favorites among gallery visitors, often drawing them back for another look.
A longtime Sebastopol artist and influential educator, Cooper creates at the intersection of fine art, craft, engineering, and custom car design. He earned his MFA from UC Berkeley in 1969 and taught for more than three decades. His internationally exhibited work challenges convention and celebrates creativity, invention, and originality.
