BIG SPLASH – Bryan Valenzuela

Description

Bryan Valenzuela has an important history with Blue Line Arts, beginning with his 2016 two-person exhibition, DUEL/DUAL, with Benjamin Hunt. His work was later included in the 2023 Crocker Kingsley Nationally Juried Exhibition at Blue Line Arts, where the juror awarded it First Place. The work was also named a “Crocker Selection,” chosen by curators from the Crocker Art Museum for display at the museum following the exhibition, extending its reach to an even broader audience.

A nationally recognized Northern California artist, Valenzuela is known for transforming handwritten text into intricate drawings, using words as both image and meaning. His career includes major public art commissions, national and international exhibitions, and numerous awards. In 2025, one of his works entered the Crocker Art Museum’s permanent collection, a significant milestone in a career Blue Line Arts has been proud to showcase.
