Vernon Peasenell was deeply connected to Roseville’s arts community during the 28 years he lived here, contributing to exhibitions and public art projects. In 2001, he helped create a community tile wall featuring children’s artwork at the Westfield Galleria through a partnership between Roseville Arts and United Way. The project raised an extraordinary $200,000 for children’s services and helped inspire a dedicated children’s gallery and workshop space. Peasenell presented a one-person exhibition with Roseville Arts in 2005. Looking back, he remembers his years in Roseville with “much love and respect” for Beth Rohlfes, Barbara Dolder, and the community that made them meaningful.
