Description
Jason Walker was the 2021 recipient of the Susan Cooley-Gilliom Artist in Residence and Teaching Program, bringing his nationally and internationally recognized ceramic practice to Blue Line Arts. The work featured here, Double Vision, was created during his residency. Walker earned his BFA from Utah State University and MFA from Penn State University and has exhibited and taught extensively across the United States and abroad, including at the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian Institution. During his residency, artists and the public had opportunities to learn directly from Walker through open studio hours, workshops, and a public lecture, offering an inspiring behind-the-scenes look at his creative process. His residency exemplifies the SCG program’s impact: bringing exceptional artists to the community while supporting the creation of new work.
