Steven Dellicarpini made an unforgettable impression on Blue Line Arts with The Book of Donald: 5th Gospel of the Apocrypha, featured in the 2020 Politically Charged exhibition—Blue Line Arts’ recurring show presented every four years during a U.S. presidential election year to explore diverse political perspectives through art.

During the exhibition, a toilet accompanying the work “flushed” whenever Donald Trump posted a tweet, which was automatically added to the manuscript. Today, the work serves as an archive of those tweets and remains a memorable favorite among visitors and members.

Dellicarpini’s work explores the intersection of technology, engineering, and cultural critique. “It was a blast hearing all the feedback from the piece in that show. I still bring it out from time to time and it’s always a hit.”
